Uploading a duplicate picture but with an higher size (less compressed)

Hi, what's the policy about this? I just got rejected one picture with a better quality than the existing one.

3000 x 2030 pixels (517 kb)

I just want to be sure before uploading more pictures of this kind. Thanks.

Can you send me the link to the image in question either here or PM? There's a new system in place to help with duplicates that's at play in this scenario.

Thanks. So it's a bug of your system that you need to repare? the image status have not changed. Not sure if I will have the same problem with other pictures.
