Tips for identifying stills?

Hi,

For a project at work, I am sorting through hundreds of still photos from various countries. My task is relatively simple - I must divide the stills into films made in this country (a relatively prominent filmmaking country in Europe), and films made outside of this country (this includes Hollywood). Often this is obvious, because of a particular star or clues in the image, but in a lot of cases I don't know for sure. Is there any way to tell if a still came from a particular place? For example, did certain studios have particular marks or codes for their stills? Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!
