Sadly, this site is being flooded with screen caps from the HiDef trailers for the newer movies. One prime example of this happening is Transformers 2. I feel that this not only cheapens the contributions of everyone else, but it also undermines the credits system and what this site is about. I would personally like to see something done about this, as it says at the upload screen: "Self-made screen-caps are absolutely forbidden." But, it's all to obvious that these are just that.

Hi Rolsskk, this was an error on my part as i approved them. They have now been deleted. If there are any other movies on the site that you think has screen caps then please let me know and I'll look in to them.

Thanks

Yeah, we all make mistakes. Some days ago I delete some other screencaptures we had in some movies. We don't like it as quality use to be bad and as you say, they are not fair for people that search for real stills that takes more time and is what really everyone is searching in this place.

This forum is always open for those things, so just tell us and as soon as a mod prooves it, they will be deleted. Help is always welcome here 😉 That works for any other problem you could see, if for example you see an awful blow-up, a custom wallpaper, incorrect actors name, wrong information or wrong still that belongs to another movie... you see, whatever 😛

Okay,
Check out some of the photos for the movie: "Dead or Alive"
There's clearly DVD caps in there.

The same goes for 'The Mutant Chronicles'. A tip is look for the ones that are 1920×1080 pixels, as that's the dimensions of something that's from a 1080HD trailer or rip.

Also, I just saw that someone uploaded some images from 2 Fast 2 Furious that have some really big watermarks on them.

What is the position on studio released screencaps? WB are starting to send hi-res Harry Potter trailer grabs to the fan sites, are these acceptable?

If they are official it is ok.

Rules in uploading say:
-Self-made screen-caps are absolutely forbidden.
